Given the controversy the Beatles, and Rock & Roll in general, created in much of the South and Plains State Midwest 60 years ago, it may be examine a monthly update on Google Trends comparing the search demand for "Jesus Christ” vs. “Taylor Swift”— and filtered down to region.
After all, as all politics are local— all investments are global. A key Cornerstone of Western Civilization has been the implementation of the belief in the teachings of Jesus Christ, via both The Church, and through private commercial interactions: B.C. and A.D. for example, not to mention “Puritan Work Ethic.”
The New York Times noted in a November Article that self-identified “non-religious” American Gen Z are a rising trends— thus where are they spending their money, and what their political views are will be important indicators, just as the Baby Boomer rock listening generation had on Vietnam, cars, home loans, and inflation. There may be underpriced consumer trends in the hotel and leisure industries due to the Taylor Swift phenom.

DuLac Capital Advisory L.L.C. Identified an interesting relationship between states that tend to vote for limited government (Hawaii the exception), tended to be more strongly related to Google Trend results for “Jesus Christ” over “Taylor Swift.”
Google Trends indicates it is the opposite for states that tend to vote for a more expansive role for government in the lives of individual and businesses (excluding New Hampshire)— Taylor Swift trends higher than a key cornerstone of 1700 years of Western Civilization.
